I'm Cameron Evans.

I studied at Fife College through the Level 6 Football Studies and HNC and HND Sports Coaching.

I'm currently now the Football Development Officer at Raith Rovers Community Foundation. When I was at Fife College, the Level 6 Football Studies was more of an introduction to football coaching, getting used to different sessions and just getting a wee bit of a feel for it. When I moved on to the HNC, we started doing more development work and looking at nutrition. Then the HND was more advanced.

What I enjoyed most at Fife College was meeting new people, working with different organisations. We had great opportunities with the different clubs in Fife, with East Fife, Raith Rovers, Dunfermline, all coming in delivering sessions, meeting new people, and getting me ready for coaching on the pitch in the future.

Since completing my studies, I started full-time work at Raith Rovers Community Foundation. I started working with the Foundation when I was in my HNC class as I needed a placement. And from there, I've worked my way from being a volunteer, to a coach, then to an Assistant Football Development Officer, and then finally to a Football Development Officer on a full-time basis.

It's been a great journey for me and I would recommend it to anybody. I would 100% recommend people to apply, especially if this is something that interests you. You've got nothing to lose, especially if you're coming in and you're not the most confident. You can build that confidence, meet new people, and work in new environments, which has helped me to get where I am just now.
