Kirkcaldy campus is ideally located within a five-minute of both the town’s train station and bus station. This is an easy campus to get to by active travel or public transport, without having to rely on driving.

Fife College aims to be Net Zero by 2035, ten years ahead of Scottish Government targets. Travel to and from the college is a big part of our total carbon emissions and an area that continues to increase its impact on the environment.
Fife College is committed to reducing all emissions relating to travel, and encouraging the use of low-carbon transport to our campuses is a key action to reduce emissions. We have therefore detailed below some alternative methods of getting to campus.
Kirkcaldy campus is within a central location of the town, taking 6 minutes to walk to Kirkcaldy High Street, and 5 minutes to walk to the train station or bus station.

We have 35 bicycle racks and 3 bicycle storage cubes available at our Kirkcaldy Campus, which require a padlock for safe bike storage. You can plan your cycle route to campus on cycle streets.
Greener Kirkcaldy have produced a map that details local cycling routes in Kirkcaldy. Route 76 is a cycling route that connects Dalgety Bay along the Firth of the Forth to Kirkcaldy, for those commuting from outside Kirkcaldy.
Kirkcaldy Campus is a 5-minute walk westwards from Kirkcaldy train station.
There are direct and frequent links to Edinburgh (45 minutes), Dundee (43 minutes), Markinch (10 minutes), Cupar (22 minutes) and Aberdeen (2 hours). Those travelling from north-east Fife to Kirkcaldy should take the Dundee-Edinburgh line. Those travelling from Edinburgh should take the Dundee or Aberdeen line.
Railcards can be purchased for those aged between 16-25 years, providing a 1/3 discount on all train tickets.

Kirkcaldy Campus is a 6-minute walk from Kirkcaldy Bus Station, where most bus services arrive and depart.
Buses that pass this campus are: 18 (Kirkcaldy bus station to Kelty), 18B, 39 (Kirkcaldy to Glenrothes or Leslie), X27 (Kirkcaldy bus station to Leven bus station), X58A (Kirkcaldy bus station to Edinburgh bus station).
Those under the age of 22 years old living in Scotland can apply for a free Young Persons nation-wide bus travel card.
Kirkcaldy Campus is located within the town centre, and can be accessed via car from areas including Glenrothes (15 minutes), Dunfermline (25 minutes) and Edinburgh (52 minutes).
Google Maps is the recommended platform to use for following directions to campus.
If coming from the south (e.g., Dunfermline/Edinburgh way) follow the M90 and A92 to A910 in Fife. Take the A910 exit from A92. Continue along A910, and drive to St Brycedale Avenue in Kirkcaldy.
If coming from the north (e.g., Glenrothes/Cupar) follow either the A92 or A915 until you reach Randolph roundabout, then follow the A921. Next turn right onto Dunniker Road, then left onto Coal Wynd, turn left onto Townsend Place, and continue onto St Brycedale Avenue, then Fife College will then be on the right.
Parking at Kirkcaldy campus is very limited, so we therefore encourage visitors to take alternative transport to this campus where possible.
If alternative transport modes are not feasible, and you do decide to drive to campus, the closest parking is the Railway Station carpark, which is free of charge, and only a 5-minute walk away from campus.
