The votes are in! The winner of the College’s radio naming competition has been announced.

Leigh Bradford, (39) from Glenrothes was delighted when she was awarded with a brand new, premium Bose SoundTouch 20 music system after being announced the winner of the naming competition chosen by Fife College students for the student radio station.
Leigh’s entry for the station to be called ‘Boom’ was one of eight entries that competed to gain the title of Fife College’s first student radio.
Leigh who is in her first year studying HND Creative Industries: Radio at the College’s Stenton Campus in Glenrothes is excited to have played such a crucial part in the birth of the student radio station. Said Leigh: “I can’t believe I won the competition. I am still in shock! I will need to look out a nice wee spot in the house for my amazing new sound wave system”.
‘Boom’ is due to launch in January and will be available to students and staff via their online student portal. Keep an eye on the College website and social media platforms for updates on the official launch date and other information!
