Fife College is delighted to announce three upcoming vacancies for non-executive Board members, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals to contribute to the College's strategic direction.

These voluntary positions, effective from 1 August 2024, offer a chance to shape the future of Fife College, making a meaningful impact on the institution's success.

Skills and Expertise Sought:

  • Commercial/Entrepreneurial Business: Individuals with a background in business strategy, entrepreneurship, or commercial matters are encouraged to apply.
  • Education/Academic Excellence: Those with a passion for education, academic excellence, and experience in higher or further education environments are welcome.
  • Digital/Cybersecurity/Sustainability: Candidates with expertise in digital technologies, cybersecurity, and sustainability issues are highly desired.

About the Board of Governors:

The Fife College Board of Governors comprises 18 members, including the Principal, student representatives, and staff members. External members, totalling 13, are selected for their skills and expertise in industry, professional, or commercial matters.

The Board meets quarterly and oversees strategic direction, monitoring performance against objectives. Adhering to relevant legislation, standing orders, and a code of conduct, the Board plays a pivotal role in shaping the college's future.
