Why Choose STEM at Fife College?

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and is the fastest-growing segment of jobs with employers finding it hard to find available talent. STEM subjects underpin our current world and impact different areas of society. Civil engineers, software developers, data scientists and accountants all work in STEM disciplines.

Studying a STEM course is about being inquisitive, innovative, logical, determined, and ready to never stop learning. They lead directly to a huge variety of exciting, fast-moving, and rewarding career opportunities.

Many jobs in the future will involve technology as we know the way people work will continue to change. Those who work in the health sector rely hugely on science, whilst the finance sector demands those who are a whizz with numbers. As our populations grow, more homes, schools and infrastructure in towns and cities will need to be built by skilled engineers.
