HND: Creative Industries: Radio SCQF Level 8

SCQF Level 8

Radio broadcasting in the UK is undergoing an unprecedented period of growth as new independent local and community radio stations compete with podcasting to provide increasing choice and variety of programmes. This has created a buoyant employment market for the all-round skilled broadcaster.

Throughout this HND, you will develop professional and personal skills and experience in all aspects of radio to maximise your employment opportunities. You will be trained using professional broadcast equipment and software. We also provide our students with the opportunity to present live through the College’s own radio station, BOOM Radio. We have a great relationship with our local stations that offer a range of work experience and guest speakers.
