NC Hospitality (incorporating Professional Cookery)

"I came to Scotland from Rome, Italy, without really knowing what career path I wanted to follow. But, after working in a few restaurants in and around Dunfermline in various roles, I knew I wanted to work in kitchens.

"The smells of the kitchen, of fresh herbs and vegetables reminded me so strongly of back home in Rome and I knew I had to work in the industry.

"I started at the College in 2015 studying NC Hospitality (incorporating Professional Cookery). It’s a fantastic course. It gave me such a good grounding in the skills and disciplines needed to make it as a chef.

"The lecturers at the College were all really supportive and helpful. They really know their stuff.

"I am now looking forward to starting full-time employment in July, after completing my NC. I have been offered a position at the Castle Terrace restaurant in Edinburgh, which is part of the prestigious Kitchin group. I can’t wait to get started at such a prestigious place in such an exciting job."
