"From a young age, like many people, I played video games. In the back of my head, I always wanted to create my own game.
"When I went to Woodmill High School, I was introduced to programming and Computer Science. From there, my interest peaked and I took my computing studies further into Higher and Advanced Higher.
"I also attended several clubs and used online resources that were designed to teach beginners like me to program. I first learned how to program general software before focusing on video games.
"HND: Computer Games Development at Fife College was recommended by my high school. After researching it on the Fife College website, I decided it was the best course for me.
"The course is enjoyable and very informative. I definitely believe the course has prepared me for further study and there are set routes into university.
"The lecturers have been very helpful with assisting me with any problems I may have. That includes with UCAS applications.
"My favourite part of the course is the programming aspect, as that is what I have spent the last few years doing as a hobby.
"In the future, I am aiming to go to university to study Computing and then attain my masters in Computer Games Technology. Hopefully after that, I can go on to become a Video Games Developer."
