My name is Monika Cook, I was born in Poland and I started studying at Fife College 5 years ago. My path began with the Business, administration, Travel and Hospitality level 4 course.

I continued this path up to HND Accounting, when I decided that I wanted to move to another field of study, which was Quantity Surveying. I changed my direction because a friend who studied Architecture Technologies told me about the course and more about this profession. I started to see myself at this sector, because this job has diversity and great job satisfaction.

I started studying at Fife College, because I wanted to gain financial independence and work in a profession that will give me satisfaction. The course covers various aspects, but I find myself most comfortable with working with Excel and everything related to counting or planning. I started working as a trainee QS at the beginning of January.

I can say that thanks to my college preparation, it is now much easier for me to demonstrate the acquired knowledge and use it in the workplace. I still have the last semester of HND Quantity Surveying to finish, but my employer is fully understanding and is helping me complete the course. Starting college and changing course to QS was my best decision.

The lecturers are very helpful and professional. Each of the students could always count on their support and the fact that I got such a great job offer is thanks to my teacher, Martin Brady. With an honest conscience, I can recommend this team of teachers and this course to anyone.
