SQA

SQA and Colleges Scotland have provided guidance to colleges in Scotland on the approach to assessing coursework and assessments.

Following guidance from the SQA and Colleges Scotland, it has been agreed that the decision on your final course results will be made by college course teams (your lecturers).

We are encouraging all of our students to continue to engage with online learning and complete any work set by their lecturers. This will ensure they have sufficient evidence to support the resulting process.

For further information regarding the completion of courses and certification please contact your named contact.

Our website also has helpful information and links to help you access College services from home – Advice for students.

The SQA National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher examinations in 2020 will no longer go ahead as planned.

Following guidance from the SQA and Colleges Scotland, it has been agreed that the decision on your final course results will be made by college course teams (your lecturers).

So that we can make these judgments in a fair and fully informed way it is important that you continue to communicate with your tutors and study online when you can. Your named contact/lecturer will work closely with you over the coming months to make sure you have the information and support you need.

Although the SQA announcement means you will not sit an examination this year for your National 5, Higher or Advanced Highers, you will still obtain an SQA certificate this summer with grades awarded for the qualifications you are studying.

There  are no plans to change the College course entry requirements.

If you have a conditional offer for a Fife College course, we will review your SQA results against the course entry requirements in August.

We therefore encourage you to continue studying on your SQA subjects via the remote and distance learning study options being offered by your current school or college.
