COURSE INFORMATION

The ideal progression from NVQ Diploma: Beauty Therapy Massage VTCT Level 3 or equivalent, this course will enable you to expand your knowledge and enhance your practical skills in all aspects of beauty therapy and to achieve the highest qualification in the industry.

Studying over the course, you will learn advanced practical skills and research essential information about a wide range of beauty treatments. Additional optional certificated training from industry may also be offered such as spray tanning, manual tanning, lash extensions, and gel nail polish.

Please note: the mode of study may include twilight/evening sessions. Draft timetables will be issued prior to the courses commencing where possible.

  • You must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the start of your course
  • You must have manual dexterity, a pleasant manner and a keen interest in the beauty industry

Plus one of the following:

  • NVQ Diploma: Beauty Therapy Massage VTCT Level 3
  • Another relevant SCQF Level 6 beauty therapy qualification
  • You may be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process. This group/individual conversation may be an information session, a portfolio discussion, or a skills based exercise
  • Courses offering continuing professional development in specialist treatments
  • Salon manager in spa/beauty salon or on-board a cruise liner
  • Salon owner in spa/beauty salon
  • Lecturer

You may be required to purchase or contribute towards the cost of a uniform – approx. £45 prior to the start of the course. This will be advised at your information session. You are required to purchase:

  • Course textbooks – approx. £50
  • Locker deposit – £10 (where appropriate)

A kit will also be required – where you have recently completed another beauty course, your existing kit will be appropriate but may require some additional items at minimal cost, at your own expense.
