COURSE INFORMATION

This course is for those looking to work in the exciting world of petroleum discovery and recovery. It has been designed to meet industry demand for a skilled workforce to work on oil/gas production platforms. You will find out about locating, extracting, and purifying the oil and gas before it is delivered to the refineries.

This course is suitable if you are seeking employment in the industry as well as providing underpinning knowledge for the existing workforce. The course content will prepare you for a number of jobs in production and exploration such as drilling engineering, mud logging, control room operation, and process engineering exploration.

This is a distance learning course and you can enroll on the course at any point throughout the academic year.

According to Engineering UK, 124,000 engineers and technicians with core engineering skills will be required each year in the UK alone, and annual shortfall of 59,000 engineering graduates and technicians to fill core engineering roles.

Did you know that Engineering and technology graduates earn significantly more than for graduates overall and the average Scottish engineer salary is 28% higher per year than the average Scottish salary.

So, there has never been a better time to start your career in Engineering!
