Travel and tourism is a diverse and vibrant industry with vast employment opportunities both nationally and internationally. This course will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to enter this exciting industry, and prepare you for a career in this vibrant sector.

You will gain knowledge in many aspects of tourism from providing information on Scottish Tourism to the Structure of the travel and tourism industry. Our new state-of-the-art training air cabin will allow you to experience a real-world environment.

The course will aid the development of transferable skills which are applicable to further study and improve the skills and knowledge required to provide high quality customer care and enhance employability.

You will learn through a mixture of role play, practical work and experience, and theory. You will be expected to participate and contribute in class and study outwith class as needed, including independent and self-directed study.

Over the duration of the course, you will gain a better understanding of planning work as part of an events/travel and tourism team, and that would be required to set up your own business. Assessment is through your coursework and reports, and both open and closed book assessments.
