COURSE INFORMATION

This course aims to help you gain an understanding of the definition of workplace mental health, look at common mental health myths, identify the signs and symptoms of distress. Understanding these factors allows us to evaluate workplace mental health risk factors and triggers, while considering how to take care of ourselves.

The one-day course shows you methods on how to actively listen to others, ask effective questions and reflect on your learning so you can apply this to your own workplace practice.

This course looks at;

  • What is mental health?
  • The impact of mental health at work
  • What employees can do to promote positive mental health in their workplace
  • Dealing with stress and anxiety in the workplace
  • Having mental health related conversations with staff

Completing this programme will enable you to;

  • Discuss mental health in the workplace
  • Explore the symptoms and causes of poor mental health
  • Identify tools and techniques to aid supportive conversation with staff relating to mental health at work
  • This is a one-day workshop hosted at Carnegie Conference Centre.
