COURSE INFORMATION

This course is a launch pad for progression to advanced level courses in computer games digital design or computer games development, and allows you to learn how a game is constructed from initial concept to final product. To benefit from this course, you should have an interest in playing a variety of computer games and also exploring how they work and what makes a game enjoyable.

You should also enjoy working with groups of people and solving problems and be able to communicate your ideas effectively.

PLUS one of the following:

  • Three other National 5's at Grade C or above: Preferred: National 5 Maths at Grade B or above
  • National Certificate: Computing with Digital Media SCQF Level 5
  • National Certificate: Computer Games Development SCQF Level 5
  • National Certificate: Computing with Digital Media (Web and Mobile Applications) SCQF Level 5

Note: National 5 Maths at Grade B or above will be required for some progression routes.
