COURSE INFORMATION

This course will provide you with a range of advanced skills and understanding required to work in a modern legal office environment. It offers a range of specialisms which provide the specific knowledge and skills required for this dynamic sector, allowing you to develop your existing skills whilst learning new skills to enhance your career opportunities.

Successful completion of this course will put you in a stronger position to progress to the next stage of your career or on to Higher National level study.

  • Crime in society
  • Family law
  • Intellectual Property
  • Commercial aspects of law
  • Business formation
  • Microsoft Office applications

You will also have the opportunity to select subjects in other areas such as:

  • Accounting
  • Administration
  • Business

One of the following:

  • One National 5 at C or above plus three other relevant National 5s
  • Intermediate Certificate: Business Enterprise with a minimum of 12 SQA units
  • Another relevant course at SCQF Level 5
  • Relevant industry experience and/or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
  • HNC: Legal Services SCQF Level 7
  • HND: Legal Services SCQF Level 8
  • HNC: Administration and Information Technology SCQF Level 7
  • HND: Administration and Information Technology SCQF Level 8
  • HNC: Business SCQF Level 7
  • HND: Business SCQF Level 8
  • HNC: Accounting SCQF Level 7
  • HND: Accounting SCQF Level 8
  • HNC: Events SCQF Level 7
  • HND: Events Management SCQF Level 8

Upon successful completion, you could look for opportunities in the business sector, including:
