This course enables you to develop knowledge of textile properties, characteristics and technologies, item development, fashion/textile trends, and factors that affect fashion choice. The course particularly emphasises the development of practical skills and textile construction techniques to make straightforward fashion/textile items, to an appropriate standard of quality.

  • A keen interest in the fashion and retail sector
  • Achieved (or predicted to achieve) National 4 in Art
  • Successful interview with a member of college staff
  • Intermediate Certificate: Fashion Design and Manufacturing
