COURSE INFORMATION

This short course is designed to update experienced gas engineers and will enable you to prove your competence in the ACS assessments in the field of commercial catering equipment namely commercial cookers, ovens, grills etc, and café sets and natural draught fryers.

  • One day training and one day assessment
  • Delivered in a classroom/workshop environment, where you will also be assessed on your knowledge of legislative requirements and practical competency
  • The awarding body for this course is BPEC

The Commercial Catering Appliances qualification covers the following core competencies:

  • Appliance installation
  • Appliance servicing
  • Checking and setting operational and safety components
  • Recognition of appliance defects
  • Flueing and ventilation requirements
  • CCCN1 (Commercial Catering Core Gas Safety)
  • COCCCN1 (Changeover from CCN1 to Commercial Catering Core Gas Safety)
  • At a later date you may wish to extend your skills in domestic appliances, LPG, or commercial/industrial gas installations
