COURSE INFORMATION

This course is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in the creative and ever expanding nail services industry. It is delivered by lecturers who are knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about the nail services industry and provides the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques required for employment as a nail technician or as preparation for further study.

Please note: You will be required to work in pared activity and bring models in for assessment purposes.

  • You will develop a variety of practical and interpersonal skills that will enable you to become a nail technician
  • One year full-time
  • Your timetable will be 2/2.5 days per week in College. This may include twilight/evening sessions

  • To apply for this course, you must be 16 years old by October 31st 2023 
  • You must have manual dexterity, a pleasant manner and a keen interest in the nail services industry

PLUS one of the following:

  • Three National 4s. It is recommended that these include English
  • Those without formal qualifications will be considered dependent on relevant experience
  • NVQ: Diploma in Nail Services VTCT Level 3
  • Nail technician 
  • A specialist kit is required for this course – approx. £70 deposit 
  • It is essential that you have this kit prior to the start of the course
  • Uniform - approx. £30
  • Textbook – approx. £20
  • You may be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process. This group/individual conversation may be an information session, a portfolio discussion, or a skills based exercise
  • A personal statement with your application form is desirable
