Why Choose Creative Media at Fife College?

Do you want to learn how to create better media content? Do you have an eye for photography? Interested in becoming a presenter, camera operator or vision mixer? Can you see yourself in a recording studio, radio studio, design or TV studio? If so, then this area is for you! 

Within our creative industries department, you could study a range of creative media courses from photography and screen production to podcasting, graphic design and more.  Our lecturing staff will apply all their industry knowledge and teaching experience to help you become a successful contributor and producer in the creative industries.

What’s more, you'll benefit from our recent £250,000 investment in additional state-of-the-art digital and audio-visual equipment at our sector-leading Media Production Hub at our Glenrothes campus. The Hub is equipped with the latest digital equipment, including new Apple Mac Studio workstations as well as 4K cameras, high-end microphones, and industry-standard software.

Progress to a Degree

You can start at SCQF Level 4 (the equivalent to National 4s) and progress through HNC/HND and on to year 3 of a degree at one of our partner universities or move into employment.

 

What Happens after I Apply?

There are four possible outcomes from your interview:

(For courses where an interview is not required, you may be asked for additional information e.g. a portfolio, before a decision is made.)

1. Unconditional offer: you have met all the entry requirements and your place is guaranteed.

2. Conditional offer: your place is secured pending meeting the entry requirements.

 

3. You may be added to a waiting list: you have met all entry requirements; however, the course is full.

If any spaces become available, you will be contacted nearer the course start date.

4. Unsuccessful: speak to our Guidance Team.
       They may be able to help you find another suitable course.
