1 March 2021

Following last week's announcement by the First Minister, most teaching and learning will remain online until after the Easter holidays, with a small number of exceptions. A limited number of students will return to campus from Monday 15 March for practical activities which are critical to the completion of their courses, following a full risk assessment. A small number of school pupils studying their final year of Level 6 Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering and Scientific Technologies will also be asked to attend a college campus later this month to undertake practical activities that cannot be undertaken remotely. Lecturers and the School College Partnership Team will be in touch with all students for whom on-campus attendance is required, to keep them informed of all necessary arrangements.

Whilst Levenmouth Campus will remain closed until at least Monday 15 March, campus hubs in Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, and Glenrothes will remain open from 10am to 3pm for students who need support and a space to study, with library and digital services support available for students who are on campus. Student support services and the FCSA will be available online. Campuses will continue to deliver a limited amount of practical learning linked to certain apprenticeships and commercial contracts, though these have been kept to an absolute minimum, with appropriate risk assessments in place.

16 February 2021

Following the First Minister's update today, we can confirm that there will be no change to our current situation.

The majority of teaching and learning will continue to remain online. Whilst Levenmouth campus will remain closed, campus hubs in Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, and Glenrothes will remain open from 10am to 3pm for students who need support and a space to study, with library and digital services support available for students who are on campus. Campuses will maintain a limited amount of practical learning linked to certain apprenticeships and commercial contracts, though these have been kept to an absolute minimum, with appropriate risk assessments in place. Student support services will be available online.

20 January 2021

Following the Scottish Government’s tightening of Covid-19 restrictions and the College's move to online learning, we have taken the decision to fully close our Levenmouth campus. The campus will close from today until at least (and inclusive of) 19 February. As no on-campus classes are scheduled for our Levenmouth campus in the coming weeks, this decision has been taken to help ensure the safety of our students, staff and communities.

The very restricted opening that we currently have in place across our other campuses will also now will be extended until at least (and inclusive of) 19 February.

7 January 2021

In line with the Scottish Government’s advice around Covid-19 restrictions, Fife College will move all learning online when the new term begins on 11 January until at least the end of January.

Our campuses will remain open Monday - Thursday from 10am to 3pm on a very restricted basis to provide Hubs for those students who need support and a safe space to study. Catering and other services will be closed but student support, digital and library services and students’ association support will be available on a limited basis.

Campuses will also accommodate a very restricted amount of essential practical learning linked to certain apprenticeships and commercial contracts.  All of which will abide by the latest Government and regulatory guidelines.

The health and safety of our students, staff and communities continues to be of paramount importance to the College.  We will continue to monitor the situation and further information will be issued via our usual channels including the College website and social media channels.
