Fife College was delighted to be recognised for its achievements at the recent Fife Chamber Business Awards held at the Rothes Halls, in Glenrothes, on Friday.

Over 30 companies from throughout Fife took part in the event and were shortlisted in a range of categories – the College were finalists in two categories; Best School Partnership and Best Marketing Campaign.

Diane Ellis, Director of Marketing at Fife College said: “This is the first year we have been involved in the Fife Chamber Business Awards – what a great event celebrating the best of business here in Fife. We were delighted to be finalists in two categories and enjoyed all stages of the process which allowed us to showcase some of our innovative work and projects.

“This included our school partnership work with Levenmouth Academy and our MathsLAB project -  a pioneering new approach to improving numeracy skills in Fife which is enabling more young people to pass their maths qualifications.

“The event also recognised a recent marketing campaign which was hugely successful in promoting the Flexible Workforce Development Fund. Fife College was by far the most successful operator of the scheme in Scotland, breaking its target of providing tailored packages of funded training to 54 local firms using a targeted organic social media campaign and business breakfast.

“Congratulations to all of the finalists and award winners and also a huge well done to Fife Chamber for organising such a successful event.”

Over 200 people attended the glittering award ceremony on the night which was hosted by Fred MacAulay and sponsored by Blackadders.
