Fife College is urging more people to consider the opportunities that further and higher education can offer as they launch their prospectus for the 2021-22 academic year.

The prospectus contains information about each of the courses the College will be running next year, with around 400 courses across 40 different subject areas on offer across five campuses situated throughout the region.

The college offers a range of learning opportunities from vocational training to professional qualifications, and also gives students the chance to start studying for a degree, with over 300 progression routes in place with their university partners.

From engineering and manufacturing, to health, social and child care; from business, culinary arts and tourism to the creative industries of music, drama and digital technologies, the college has something for everyone.

With the Coronavirus pandemic leading to concerns about increased unemployment, colleges are a vital resource to help individuals across Fife ensure they have the skills to meet the needs of the future jobs market.

And a recent study from CBI found that nine in ten people will need new skills by 2030 to support the future economy, leading to many students coming to the college at a later stage in life to upskill.

Vice Principal of Fife College, Dorothee Leslie said:

“There has never been a better time to consider starting a course at Fife College.

“Given the concerns about future unemployment caused by the current pandemic, many people are rightly looking for opportunities to learn new skills and kick-start their careers.

“Our aim is to help transform the lives of our students through inspirational teaching, and by providing them with the knowledge and experience that will help them succeed in the future jobs market.

“With hundreds of courses across a huge variety of areas I can guarantee that there will be something of interest to everyone in this prospectus, and I would urge anyone who is interested in developing new skills to give it a read.

“We look forward to welcoming students in 2021, and we’re sure that each one of them will love the experience of studying and training at Fife College as much as we do.”
