Fife College student representative Jade Burnett, age 26, picked up £220 worth of cinema vouchers for her class after winning a Fife College Students’ Association (FCSA) prize draw.

All 22 students in Jade’s class received a £10 Odeon voucher each after the HND Social Sciences student’s name was drawn from a list of other class reps at the College.

Jade, from Dalgety Bay said: “Being a student rep is great as it’s something really good to have on your CV.  It was really cool to win the prize draw for the cinema vouchers, especially as the whole class benefits.  Winning the vouchers tops off a great week for our group too as we are just back from an amazing course trip to Poland!”

Gloria Laurini, FSCA Student Engagement Coordinator at Fife College said: “All of our volunteers, including class reps, play a vital role in helping keep other students up to date with what’s going on at the College as well as letting us know how things are going on their courses.

“Being a class rep also helps students develop skills and build their CVs.  There are loads of ways to get involved and a variety of training sessions and rewards on offer, such as the cinema vouchers which Jade won.  I hope Jade and the rest of her class enjoy a fantastic night out at the cinema!”

The FCSA supports over 400 class reps at Fife College.  They also operate an Open Badge programme which offers national and international recognition for the skills gained by volunteering with the student body.
