Commercial Appliances (CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1)

This course is designed to update experienced gas engineers to enable them to prove their competence in the ACS assessments in the field of Commercial Appliances. The programme is also available to experienced gas engineers who wish to extend their competencies to include commercial appliances. Initial candidates should note that additional time in centre may be required.

Who is this course for?

This program is aimed at existing commercial engineers wishing to extend their range to include commercial appliances and also for those requiring to renew existing ACS certification.

What qualifications will I gain?

Commercial Appliances (CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1)

What will I learn on the course?

The Commercial Appliances course comprises the following core competencies:
  • CIGA1 - Industrial and Commercial Indirect Fired Appliances (boilers and warm air units)
  • CORT1 - Industrial and Commercial Overhead Radiant Appliances (radiant tube and plaque heaters)
  • CDGA1 - Industrial and Commercial Direct Fired Gas Heating Appliances.

Certificates are valid for 5 years. Holders are eligible for reassessment within 6 months of expiry. ** Candidates should contact Centre staff re current regulatory requirements re training for Initial and Reassessment programs**
