What will I study?
- Health and Safety at work, Understanding the importance of health and safety in the kitchen.
- Responsibilities in the workplace, learning about the roles, and responsibilities of employees and employers.
- Working with others, developing team work and communication and collaboration.
- You at Work, exploring personal development introduction to barista, gaining basic skills in coffee making and barista techniques.
- Introduction to basic first aid, learning basic first aid relating directly to the kitchen, burns, slips etc. Introduction to food hygiene, understanding food safety and hygiene practices.
- Practice skills in the kitchen, Developing hands on cooking skills. ICT, WWO, Numeracy, Communication, P.S, Guidance and Curriculum Support unit. This will allow additional support and help with the course.
