Life Drawing

This unit introduces candidates to life drawing, focusing on developing fundamental skills and techniques for drawing the human form from a live model. Learners will gain a basic understanding of human anatomy and proportion while exploring various media and approaches. The course emphasises creating proportionally accurate studies of body parts and full figures, both clothed and unclothed.

What will I learn on the course?

Basic observational skills, techniques to enhance drawing and gaining the ability to draw what you see. The skill will build hand eye coordination but develop skills in drawing scale and proportion, a key skill for all art and design needs.

Upon successful completion, and with a positive lecturer reference, you may be eligible to progress to our full-time Intermediate Certificate Art Design Portfolio(level 5), our Advanced Certificate Art Design Portfolio or our HNC Art and Design programme.
