Performing Arts Pathways

Designed to support S6 pupils who have successfully completed their Higher Drama qualification but there school no longer delivers Advanced Higher, this practical, skills-focused Level 7 course will allow you to further develop your skills in performing arts, culminating in an exciting performance in one of our theatre spaces.

Who is this course for?

Current S6 pupils who have achieved their Higher Drama and / or English qualification and are keen to undertake Level 7 units to further their experience and knowledge in performing arts. you will be in two afternoons a week on campus.

What skills will I learn?

Devising your own theatre pieces, exploration of theatre styles and practitioners. knowledge around technical theatre elements. you will use the skills you discover and develop to create and perform your own devised theatre show.

What will I study?

Practical exploration of various acting methods and theatre styles, with the opportunity to practically explore these. An in depth look at how to devise and create theatre that excited and engages you. Introduction to technical theatre, including production skills development and application.
