What will I learn on the course?
Each apprentice is required to achieve the following mandatory units :- Monitor Food Safety at Critical Control Points in Food and Drink Operations
- Monitor Health, Safety and Environmental Systems in Food Manufacture
- Monitor and Maintain Product Quality in Food and Drink Operations
There is a range of optional units that can be selected depending on the type of food and drink business and the job role of MA. A skills scan will be undertaken with assessor/trainer prior to MA commencing.
Each apprentice is required to achieve the following Core Skills:
- Communication
- Working with others
- Problem Solving
- Information and Communication Technology
- Numeracy
All Core Skills need to be separately certificated at level SCQF 5 or above.
