The qualification also allows you to tailor optional units to reflect your responsibilities, including areas such as coaching and mentoring, ensuring formal recognition of the work you already do.The SVQ in Learning and Development at SCQF Level 8 consists of eight mandatory units and four optional units tailored to your role. Mandatory units cover areas such as designing and agreeing learning programmes, creating a positive learning environment, managing contributions from others, and evaluating and improving learning and development. You will also select one unit focused on identifying individual or organisational learning needs. Optional units allow you to specialise in areas such as coaching, mentoring, or assessment, ensuring the qualification reflects your workplace responsibilities.
