Trauma Informed Workplaces: Developing our Aims & Implementing Change

This course supports those who have completed the first two units in the group award 'Implementing Trauma Informed Organisations to produce evidence that they meet the occupational standards outlined in Stages 3 & 4 of Scotlands Roadmap to Trauma Informed & Responsive Organisations. A day of in person training on Trauma Informed Decision Making in the workplace is followed by a period of self & guided study where upon you plan, implement & evaluate one piece of trauma informed work practice.

Who is this course for?

This course is for learners who have completed the first two units in the group award.

What will I learn on the course?

  • If you are completing the course, you will have developed your trauma informed knowledge & practice up to the standards and frameworks outlined in stages three & four of 'Scotlands Roadmap to Trauma Informed & Responsive Organisations'.
  • Learning from all group award units contributes to the Trauma Informed NOS outlined SVQ Health 7 Social Care SCQF 7.
  • You will study, and implement, trauma informed approaches to decision making in the workplace which identify policies, procedures, and frameworks which may maximise or inhibit the five principles of trauma informed practice.
  • You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the limits and boundaries of your role in relation to implementing trauma informed approaches in the workplace.
  • You will learn how to carry out trauma informed, and evidence based, evaluation and feedback processes.
