The quick answer is - yes!

An HNC at Fife College is the same level of study as the first year of a degree course at university. And an HND is the same as year 2.

We offer the opportunity - in partnership with Abertay University, Queen Margaret University and The Open University - for you to study your entire degree here at Fife College in some cases.

Not only this, but we work with universities from across Scotland and beyond to make sure that our courses are designed to allow you to progress onto university directly into year 2 or 3 if that's what you want to do.

If you have gained the qualifications required for your college application, we don’t need you to contact us.

Fife College will update your offer for you and will issue correspondence to you to confirm this.

During the application process you will have been asked for your permission for us to access your SQA record. We will access your record following the Exam Results Day Events to view the qualifications you have gained and where you have met the required conditions we will update your offer to Unconditional.

You should receive an email confirming your updated offer prior to Friday 8th August 2025.

If you do not hear from us on 5 August, please don’t worry. Our academic and support staff will continue to contact applicants throughout the rest of that week, so please be assured we will be in touch with you as quickly as we can.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you luck with your plans for the future. Should you no longer wish to take up your place on a course at Fife College please contact us call 0344 248 0115 to speak to our team. You can also email info@fife.ac.uk.
