About Kenny
Kenny is an experienced tax professional and accountant with more than three decades of expertise in corporate tax advisory, compliance, and reporting. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, he has built a career across leading accountancy firms and major financial institutions including Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group, where he has developed deep technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and an understanding of governance and regulatory requirements for financial services.
Kenny currently serves as the Head of Tax Compliance at Lloyds Banking Group, leading the end‑to‑end delivery of tax compliance services for large banking entities and subsidiaries. In this role, Kenny leads the strategic direction of tax compliance, ensuring rigorous adherence to tax regulations and fostering strong relationships across the organisation and with the tax authorities at HMRC.
Alongside his technical and leadership credentials, Kenny is committed to developing future talent and widening access to professional careers. For over a decade, he has supported graduate and apprenticeship schemes within the Edinburgh hub at Lloyds Banking Group, assisting in placements, coaching, and guidance to early‑career colleagues. Being passionate about the role education plays in transforming lives, this motivates his interest in public service and his desire to contribute meaningfully to the mission and governance of Fife College.
