The Career Pathways Research Paper explores the current challenges and opportunities within the Tay City Region’s Hospitality Sector. Drawing on industry insights, it highlights key recommendations designed to support the clear and accessible pathways from school entry points through to management level progression. This research aims to strengthen talent development, improve retention and inspire future careers across the hospitality industry.

1. Entry-level exposure: Foundation Apprenticeships, taster sessions, and career awareness events.
2. Introductory skills: SCQF Level 4–6 courses, short courses, and work placements.
3. Intermediate skills: Modern Apprenticeships and SCQF Level 6–8 courses.
4. Advanced and specialist skills: Leadership training and SCQF Level 8–11 qualifications.
5. Continuous upskilling: Short courses, CPD, and vendor qualifications.
