Posted on: 02/04/26

Fife College has appointed three new Non-Executive Members to its Board of Governors.

The new members – Kenny Anderson, Clare McKenzie Bond and Carol Potter – bring a wealth of experience from the financial, public service and healthcare sectors, further strengthening the Board’s collective expertise and its commitment to supporting learners, staff and communities across Fife.

Kenny Anderson is an experienced tax professional and Chartered Accountant with more than three decades of expertise in corporate tax advisory, compliance and reporting. He currently serves as Head of Tax Compliance at Lloyds Banking Group, where he leads tax compliance services for large banking entities and subsidiaries. Kenny is also committed to developing future talent and has supported graduate and apprenticeship programmes for many years.

Clare McKenzie Bond has had an extensive civil service career in the UK and Scottish Governments, working in Edinburgh, London and at British Embassies overseas, including in Malaysia and Azerbaijan. Her work has included roles in risk management, data management, cyber policy and counter-terrorism. Clare brings a strong global outlook and is passionate about ensuring people feel welcome and included so they can fully contribute to decision-making.

Carol Potter has more than 30 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across the public sector, primarily within the NHS in Scotland. She served as Chief Executive of NHS Fife from 2020, leading the organisation through significant challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and high-quality care. Carol will retire from NHS Fife later in the spring to pursue a new career in fitness and wellbeing.

David Watt OBE, Chair of the Fife College Board of Governors, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Kenny, Clare and Carol to our Board. Throughout the recruitment process, they demonstrated a clear commitment to education and the wellbeing of learners in Fife.

“Their skills and knowledge will complement those of our existing Board members and further strengthen our governance. I look forward to working with them over the coming months.”
