First Aid at Work

This course is designed to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations. You will be able to demonstrate life saving techniques and be competent to diagnose and deal with injuries and illness in the workplace. This course combines both practical and theory training and as such learners should wear appropriate clothing and footwear e.g., trousers and flat footwear. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years.

  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)

  • Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment

  • Stroke
  • Epilepsy

Practical skills will be assessed throughout the course and will conclude with a short multiple-choice assessment.

Emergency First Aid at Work

This course is designed to prepare learners to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations and/or take on the role of emergency first aider in the workplace. You will learn basic lifesaving first aid techniques as well as being able to deal with minor injuries and illnesses. This course combines both practical and theory training and as such learners should wear appropriate clothing and footwear e.g., trousers and flat footwear. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years.
