Day 1 establishes the professional and ethical foundation for leadership in social care. It focuses strongly on SSSC Codes of Practice and professional standards, ensuring managers understand their responsibilities.Day 2 focuses on developing leadership capability and understanding how managers lead teams effectively.
Day 3 addresses complex interpersonal challenges, particularly relevant to leadership in care settings.
Day 4 consolidates learning and focuses on effective communication, leadership behaviours and implementation into practice.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
- Lead care teams in line with professional standards, values, and SSSC expectations.
- Apply effective leadership, management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills in practice.
- Foster inclusive, positive, and high-performing team cultures.
- Reflect on their leadership practice and implement continuous professional development strategies.
