About Pamela
Pamela has worked in the education sector for twelve years, with a primary focus on widening access and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within further and higher education. She spent five years with the University of St Andrews Admissions Team, where she co-led the access portfolio, including overseeing the First Chances Fife programme and developing corporate parenting strategies for the university. Following this, Pamela became a Senior Policy Analyst for the Scottish Funding Council, supporting the Access, Skills, and Outcome Agreement team, before taking on the role of Medical Admissions Manager at the University of St Andrews.
Currently, Pamela serves as the People and Diversity Executive Officer at the university, where she assists in monitoring and delivering strategies related to people and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). She has a keen interest in education-based research, particularly in closing the attainment gap.
Pamela spends most of her free time with her husband and two young children (slowly discovering all the local soft plays) and likes to travel when she can!
