Posted on: 02/06/26

Fife College recently welcomed finalists, sponsors and partners for a vibrant and engaging Fife Business Awards Finalist Reception, bringing together the region’s thriving business community for an evening of celebration, innovation and connection.

Hosted at the College’s state-of-the-art Dunfermline City Campus and Carnegie Conference & Events Centre, the reception was made possible with the valued support of HRFCA, Fife College, Sephra Europe Ltd, Mowi and McFratm Ltd. The event provided an opportunity for finalists to network, celebrate their achievements, and experience first-hand the impressive facilities and talent being developed within Fife College.

The evening began with a warm welcome as guests enjoyed a selection of food and drinks, alongside informal networking. A highlight of the reception was the ever-popular chocolate fountain, which added a fun and interactive element to the opening session and encouraged conversation among attendees.

Guests were then treated to a special surprise performance by the Dunfermline City Brass Brand. Their lively set added a celebratory atmosphere and showcased the rich cultural talent within the local community.

A key feature of the evening was a series of interactive workshops designed to highlight the breadth and quality of courses, business training and resources available at Fife College. Attendees were invited to take part in three immersive experiences, each offering a unique insight into different areas of study.

In the Virtual Reality Experience workshop, guests had the opportunity to step into a digital world, exploring cutting-edge VR technology and gaining an appreciation for how immersive tools are shaping industries and education alike.

Meanwhile, the College’s professional photography studios welcomed attendees to step in front of the camera, offering a fun and engaging “say cheese” moment while demonstrating the high standard of creative facilities available to students.

Rounding off the workshop experience, visitors were invited into the College’s beauty salon, where they could relax and enjoy a hand massage delivered by skilled students, highlighting the hands-on training and expertise being developed in the College’s hospitality and wellbeing programmes.

The reception not only celebrated the success of this year’s Fife Business Awards finalists but also strengthened connections between local businesses and the next generation of talent emerging from Fife College.

The evening was widely praised by attendees for its welcoming atmosphere, engaging activities and the opportunity to explore the College’s impressive facilities in an interactive way.

Iain Hawker, Assistant Principal: Enterprise & Partnerships at Fife College, said:

"It was a pleasure to host the Fife Business Awards finalists and celebrate the innovation, talent and ambition that make Fife such a vibrant place to live, work and do business.

"Strong partnerships with employers and the wider business community are at the heart of what we do at Fife College, helping us create opportunities and equip students and employees with the skills and experience they need to succeed in the future workforce.
