First Aid at Work

This course is designed to enable learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations. You will be able to demonstrate life saving techniques and be competent to diagnose and deal with injuries and illness in the workplace.This course combines both practical and theory training and as such learners should wear appropriate clothing and footwear e.g., trousers and flat footwear.This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years.

Who is this course for?

It is aimed at people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide help in various emergency first aid situations.

What qualifications will I gain?

  • Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work

  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)

  • Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment·

Practical skills will be assessed throughout the day and the course will conclude with a short multiple-choice assessment.
