Student satisfaction at Fife College has risen to a record 94% according to the College’s most recent Student Survey (2018/19).
Overall satisfaction amongst students rose 3% from the previous annual survey carried out during the 2017/18 academic year and is 14% higher than student feedback received in 2016/17.
The figures announced this week by the College will be welcome news to the hundreds of students about to start a new course at one of the College’s five campuses in Fife and to those who are still deciding their next step.
Staff encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning was the College’s biggest strength in the survey results, confirming the College’s increased commitment to transform lives and have successful students with a recognised qualification and wider proven meta-skills for progress to higher level study or into a career.
Part Time Further Education students were the most satisfied group of students (97%) while Business, Enterprise and Tourism, Construction and Mathematics and STEM were some of the departments within the College which scored highest for overall student satisfaction, each scoring over 90%.

Courses starting this September, such as architectural technology, business administration, childcare, and computer games are still available across Fife College’s campuses in Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Rosyth and Levenmouth.
Fife College offers the opportunity to study the first two years of a degree locally, saving money on travel and accommodation. Students can also study their full ordinary or honours degree at Fife College, in partnerships with Abertay University, Edinburgh Napier University and The Open University.
