The Carnegie Conference Centre hosted Fife College's inaugural Learning in a Custodial Setting Conference today (Wednesday, 18 September).

The event, which brought together over 100 staff from prison-based learning centres throughout Scotland, heard from a number of key speakers, including Jenny Gilrouth MSP, Colin McConnell, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service and Wendy Sinclair-Gieben, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, Scotland.

The conference also featured workshops, awards for best practice and a panel discussion on how learning transforms lives.

Fife College is the first national provider of the learning and skills contract across all 13 publicly owned prisons in Scotland.
