Prince’s Trust students from Fife College marked the end of their course by holding a showcase event to celebrate their achievements.

The special celebration event for Team 64, held at the College’s Dunfermline Campus, marked the successful completion of the team’s 12-week personal development course.

Students were presented with certificates for the programme by Lindsey Robertson, Curriculum Manger for Supported Programmes and Culinary Arts.

Leigh Davidson (17), from Dunfermline, enjoyed the course which has helped open the door to further opportunities for her.  Leigh said:

“The course has been really great - the residential was definitely my favourite part!  I think the course is a really good stepping stone to other things too.  My placement was with a jewellery course here at College and I was told I would be offered a place if I applied for the full course so that’s a great option for me to have.”

The programme currently runs three teams a year across the College’s campuses - Dunfermline, Glenrothes and Levenmouth.

Each team average 12 students and collectively they support over 100 students in an academic year.  Over the last year the students have organised 18 fundraisers to support nine community projects and completed 27 team challenges.

The course also includes students taking part in graded units during the 12-week programme which also includes work placements for two of the weeks.
