Welcome from the Chief Information Officer
Thank you for your interest in the vacancy for a Deputy Chief Information Officer here at Fife College.
As one of Scotland’s leading higher and further education colleges, we are at the forefront of supporting economic recovery and growth through the delivery of innovative, relevant and inclusive education and skills development in Fife and beyond. We have a clear Strategic Plan underpinned by key strategies including learning and teaching, commercialisation, and digitalisation.
To support this, we are looking to recruit a Deputy CIO to join our leadership team - to lead transformational change, drive growth and deliver real success for the College. Building on the strong foundations of our College Strategy we have a clear path forward underpinned by strategies and investment plans for learning and teaching, commercialisation, our estate and our technological infrastructure. This role is a superb opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to join us and drive forward this strategy, giving leadership and direction to support the delivery of a first class learning experience for our students.
You would join us at a hugely exciting time. What we are doing at the College is fundamental to the rebuilding of the economy, working with businesses and government agencies to fill the skills gap and drive growth; working with communities to provide opportunities to all, regardless of background; and working with students of all ages to provide the life enhancing skills, knowledge and resilience that will help shape their future success. In addition to a fantastic set of facilities, including five campuses, a University Hub, a Conference Centre and state-of-the-art training and learning resources, we are also in the midst of developing a new learning campus in Dunfermline which promises to be transformational for education in Scotland.
At Fife College, we help to transform lives. I am enormously proud of that and I look forward to working with you to put that at the very centre of what we do.
Dr Kristoffer Getchell
